Tell us a bit about yourself, where are you from, what’s your background, what do you do at the moment?
I’m 22, I’m a gym enthusiast and I am aspiring activist. Grew up in Jamaica and at the age of 14 moved to London for opportunities in my studies. I live in Epsom with my parents and I’m currently a full time Personal Trainer and part time volunteer mentor at regenerate.
What was your inspiration for going to Romania?
I was interested in going to Romania because I was curious about the type of work the organisation does abroad and wanted to get involved myself. I wanted to see, first hand, the standard of living that isn’t necessarily propagated by mainstream media.
What were some of your favourite moments and aspects of the trip?
The trip surpassed my expectations on many different levels and its hard to pin point a singular memorable experience. From making new, inspirational and encouraging friends to witness gratitude from a simple handshake it’s very hard to extract a single moment.
How has this trip influenced what yo want to do in the future?
The trip to Romania has solidified my aspirations and I have already taken steps to put my social ideas into practice.
Any final thoughts or advice that you’d like to share with everyone?
I’d like to thank Andy and the Regenerate team for the opportunity to be apart of such an influential trip and that I would be ready to do it again in a heart beat.
