Now, more than ever, there’s a strong call-to-action to press forward and progress gender parity. There’s a strong call to #PressforProgress motivating and uniting friends, colleagues and whole communities to think, act and be gender inclusive.
To celebrate International Women’s Day we spoke to some of the Regenerate team about women who have influenced them and their hopes for the future.
“My mumma has been the biggest female influence in my life. She stands for wisdom, kindness and vulnerability. She’s a real sweetheart with a strength of mind and heart and she isn’t afraid to own it. My hopes for the next generation of women is that they are: more courageous and less self conscious, they know what matters, they stay focused, they work hard, they play wherever possible and most importantly – they love generously.” Clare“My mom has always been a fighter, never giving up and working hard to be able to look after us properly. She is loving, very hospitable and always forgiving those who have hurt her. My dreams for the future are to set up a charity which will provide education for children, young people and adults in less advantaged communities, helping them to get more integrated into the wider society . For future women I want them to know how precious they are and how much they are needed. I hope they believe in themselves and the talents they posses. Have fun and enjoy the gift of being a woman.” Brenda
“The woman who’s influenced me most is my mom. She’s the most independent and hardworking person I know, and everything she does is done with passion. I hope that in the future we’ll be able to achieve TRUE equality. I hope that more and more girls are raised to be brave, independent, creative, visionary, adventurous, resilient, powerful, ambitious and whatever else they want to be.” Francini
