For week 1, we partnered with Putney Community Gardens, we braved the cold weather and did some gardening and discovered lots of new green spaces on the Ashburton estate with great potential! We also made vegetable soup – a team effort and a great way to warm up and refuel.
On week 2, we partnered with Growhampton for an exciting time on their edible university campus, learning to make fires, toast marshmallows to perfection and chop wood. We also fed and held the resident chickens and experienced the unique Hive cafe in a shipping crate.
On week 3 we partnered with The Feel Good Bakery, sampling sandwiches and hearing from Andy Smith about the vision for the bakery. We took some time to think about how we might be able to make a positive impact in our local community collectively or individually.
It was a great way to end the year and we look forward to doing more projects with all these partners next year.
