20th, October – Social Startups: Ideas for Good

Here are some snaps from our second Social Startups event last week at Kahaila. It was another interesting evening, we heard from a ‘Snactivist’, Regenerates very own ‘Feel Good Bakery’ boys and two inspirational women creating employment for young people from a housing estate and vulnerable women from East London.

The common theme was food. Every one was working with food for a cause much greater than themselves, achieving great things. We heard about the realities of starting up and risk taking, the honest challenges faced along the way as well as success stories. We were given very grounded practical tips for pursuing your dream by people who are doing just that.

The next Social Startups is happening on January 27th at Kahaila. It will be the perfect way to chase away the winter blues and begin a brand new year! Before then we will be partnering with Roehampton University to host a Social Startups at the Hive cafe, in the heart of the uni, base of Growhampton.

Thank you to Michelle Lindsell for the photos ( and to our wonderful hosts Kahaila cafe. The cafe was buzzing, the coffee and cake were flowing – and as delicious as always.
