We are really excited about our upcoming Regenerate Journeys.
Regenerate Journeys brings together our young people who might have faced difficult situations in their lives, with others from different walks of life. We step out of our comfort zones, take on challenges together and raise money for our ongoing work with young people on estates in Wandsworth, so that they can go on to reach their potential and make a difference in the world for good.
2019’s challenge has two parts involving
Paddles and saddles.
In four weeks time, a group of young people and young adults from Regenerate, joined by some amazing volunteers and celebrity YouTubers (including Alfie Deyes and Fun for Louis) will be Kayaking the full length of the River Thames. Starting at the source near Cricklade, the team will kayak over ten days, paddling 215 miles through Reading, Oxford, Windsor, Putney, and Westminster, ending at Southend pier in the North Sea.
London 2 The Pyrenees
Then in July we will be cycling over 600 miles from London to the Pyrenees mountains in just 9 days. The ride will take in the length of France and ends with us cycling one of the toughest mountain stages of the 2019 Tour de France. This will see us attempt to climb the mighty Col du Tourmalet, 18.6km of steep French mountain reaching a gradient of 13.5%!
Please consider sponsoring us on these challenges. 100 percent of the money raised goes directly to support young people in our projects by providing positive activities and mentoring relationships.
Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for more regular updates regarding both Journeys.
