Sure 24 - Kenya

In February 2007 Regenerate began funding a children’s club called SURE 24 for about 120 children each week. These children are taught that they can be “SURE 24 hours a day, that God loves them and that they are special”.  The Saturday session consists of education, a couple of hours of sports and they all receive a cooked meal. 

For some of the children that attend, the meal at SURE24 is the only meal they will receive that day, while others such as orphans or those in difficult home situations, it provides a safe and positive environment and a support network. We fund  all the meals, utensils, staff costs and transport costs involved with running this activity once a week for 120 children.  There is scope for this project to be more regular and to be for many more children.  This is one of the important stepping stones that children can use towards getting into school and housing.
